Water spills down a rugged stone wall. Moss and ferns grow along the moist edge. Trees sprung to an impressive height at the top of this little waterfall. This is a picture of Little Mashel Falls, located in Eatonville, Washington State. The hike starts in a small parking lot. Walking through you will come to climb the muddy hill. Along the woodland trail you will find trilliums and other wildflowers, moths and other insects, even the occasional equestrian. Watch your step! This is no easy walk in the park, and its not always mud underfoot. Sadly, people have died here. Sadly homeless people spend the warmer season here.
